On 5–9 October 2026, EAPL participated in NeuroXR 2026, an international workshop held as part of IEEE ISMAR 2026 in Bari, Italy. Our lab member Beata Pacula-Leśniak, together with Magdalena Igras-Cybulska from Interactive Crafts, presented the paper “How Much Physiology Is Enough? Comparing Pupil-Only and Multimodal Arousal Classification in VR”.
The study demonstrates that pupil-based measurements can provide accurate arousal classification in VR, while adding peripheral physiological signals does not consistently improve performance.
