On May 25, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from Class 2f for a visit to the Institute of Psychology at Jagiellonian University. The visit offered a unique opportunity to explore psychological research and gain insight into academic life within a research-intensive environment.
During the visit, students met with PhD researchers who shared their research interests, discussed their academic journeys, and introduced the students to the diverse career paths available in psychological science. The discussions provided a firsthand perspective on the daily work of researchers and the process of conducting scientific studies.
The students also visited several research facilities, including the Laboratory of Language and Bilingualism, the Laboratory of Early Child Development, and the Laboratory of Emotion and Perception (Virtual Reality Lab). Through these visits, they learned about contemporary research methods and observed how psychology integrates advanced technologies to investigate human cognition, development, language, and emotion.
We would like to thank the students and their teachers for their enthusiasm, engagement, and thoughtful questions throughout the visit. We hope this experience provided valuable insights into psychological research and inspired further interest in science and higher education.
