From 12–16 January, our lab was represented by Agata Szymańska at the METEOR Horizon Academy hosted by Roskilde University in Denmark. The Academy brought together early-career researchers from across the world for an intensive, collaborative programme designed to foster interdisciplinary exchange, critical discussion, and joint project development.

During the Academy, participants engaged with key social challenges identified from diverse national and institutional contexts. Through structured discussions and collaborative work, the group exchanged perspectives, deepened mutual understanding, and explored innovative approaches to addressing these challenges. The international and interdisciplinary setting proved particularly valuable in broadening research outlooks and strengthening collaborative competencies.
The METEOR Academies constitute a central milestone within the METEOR Programme, connecting prior online preparation with in-person collaboration and translating learning outcomes into concrete, team-based research proposal development.
We would like to acknowledge the valuable collaboration within the Peer Mentoring Group—Ulrik Kohl, Will Fee, and Ana Katamadze—for their openness, engagement, and constructive teamwork throughout the Academy. Our thanks also go to Linda Lundgaard Andersen and Niels Warring for their hospitality and generous sharing of expertise.
